Today with the help of Drakia.

I have retired ZeroServer and replaced it with ZeroXeon.
ZeroServer was a 667mhz HP I had gotten for free
for showing someone how to use there new iMac.

Now ZeroXeon is a rack server that I bought of ebay
for less then 200$$. Orignal plans to run hardened gentoo
then openbsd but couldn't get it to netboot nicely, it is
now running Ubuntu Server 9.04. With Dual Intel Xeon 2.66ghz
CPUs and one gig of error correcting ram and 1 terabyte total
space ran in RAID 01 so 500 gbs useable space and mirrored
for safety.

PS If anyone needs web space let me know.

So, list of things I've tried that work:
Sending email (SMTP)
Receiving email (SMTP)
Retrieving email via POP3
HTTP (Kind of obvious)
FTP
Subdomains
DNS (Bind. Or the domain would be down right now)
SSH

Haven't run into anything that doesn't work yet (Well, receiving email didn't at first, but I just fixed that). I've forwarded all outgoing SMTP through Shawmail, since Shaw blocks SMTP packets. If you want to use mail.zeropoke.net as your SMTP server in whatever mail program you use, it requires a valid account, so no need to worry about spam (I had to open the SMTP port to allow the server to receive email).

Poke, you can setup as many emails as you want in SysCP. If you want, I can also write up a script to give everyone on the forums (Who is actually active) an @zeropoke.net address automatically, then you could send out a mass email telling them all abouts it

So, I just got permission from Poke to work on a feature. I'll be adding an option on the forums to let you enable or disable an @zeropoke.net email address, the username will of course be your forum login name, and the password will probably be the same as your forum password (I'll have to look into that one though).

ooh shiny new server responds fast and loving it and i wouldnt mind a email address if they are being given out. Oh yeah and i POSTED ON THE FRACKEN FORUMS

The email feature should be done sometime today (Maybe before work, but probably after). I'll post instructions once I'm finished.

Oh ya Drakia... subdomain are not working. Looking like when you did stuff for the mail.

Odd, I didn't touch SysCP at all, it is all forum based o.o I'll look into it tomorrow if I get a chance.

Well, the "standard subdomains" created with new customers just plain don't work apparently o.o I'll take a better look later. I recommend just hand-creating subdomains if you want new ones.
